What is the Difference Between Wet Carbon and Dry Carbon?

Dry Carbon

Ideal for high-performance and racing applications, dry carbon is manufactured using pre-impregnated carbon fibers cured in an autoclave under high pressure and heat. This process results in an incredibly strong, ultra-lightweight product with a flawless, consistent weave pattern. Because of the complex manufacturing process, dry carbon commands a premium price.

Wet Carbon

Wet carbon products are typically hand-laid or vacuum-infused with liquid resin. This makes them a more affordable and highly popular option for visual upgrades. While they do not offer the extreme weight savings of dry carbon and may occasionally have very minor imperfections (like slight weave waves), they still provide that highly sought-after glossy carbon aesthetic.

Can a Spoiler or Diffuser Actually Increase Car Performance?

Spoilers

Spoilers are designed to manipulate the airflow over the top and rear of the vehicle, reducing aerodynamic lift and generating downforce at high speeds. This keeps the rear tires planted firmly on the ground, significantly improving high-speed stability and traction.

Diffusers

Located under the rear bumper, diffusers accelerate the airflow transitioning from beneath the car to the ambient atmosphere. This creates a low-pressure zone that essentially "sucks" the chassis down to the road. By reducing drag and increasing downforce, diffusers enhance cornering grip and straight-line stability.

How Do I Tell the Difference Between High-Quality and Low-Quality Dry Carbon?

High-Quality Dry Carbon

If you inspect a premium product under direct sunlight from multiple angles, you will see a perfectly smooth surface, a deep and clear resin finish, flawless weave patterns, and absolutely zero trapped air bubbles. Furthermore, high-quality pieces feature precise OEM-level fitment, seamless integration, and long-lasting UV resistance.

Low-Quality Alternatives

Cheaper alternatives often reveal their flaws through rough textures, uneven clear coats, cloudy finishes, wavy carbon lines, and poor fitment that requires forcing the part onto the car.

Why Transform or Facelift an Older Vehicle to a Newer Version?

Modernization

Older vehicles often feature outdated physical buttons, worn-out interiors, and obsolete tech. A facelift or interior transformation allows owners to integrate modern features like touchscreen displays, aggressive modern body lines, and updated lighting, keeping the car relevant in today's fast-evolving landscape.

Personal Attachment

Many owners have a strong emotional connection to their vehicles, which have been with them through life's milestones. Upgrading the exterior or interior extends the car's lifespan, allowing owners to keep the car they love while enjoying a fresh experience.

Customization

Facelifting allows you to build a car that perfectly reflects your personal style. It is the ultimate form of self-expression, blending classic chassis dynamics with aggressive, modern aesthetics.

Environmental Sustainability

Upgrading and maintaining an existing vehicle extends its lifecycle, reducing the environmental impact and carbon footprint associated with manufacturing and purchasing a brand-new car.
